Privacy policy
Last updated October 29, 2026. BigMacAndFries is a one-person site. This page explains what the site collects and what it does with it.
What we collect
- Newsletter: if you sign up, we store your email address so we can send the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Votes and "deal ended" reports: these are tied to a random cookie ID, not to your name or email, so one browser counts once.
- Clicks: we count clicks on deals to see what is popular. We do not store who clicked.
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics to see page views and how people find the site. Google sets its own cookies; see Google's privacy policy.
Stores and affiliate links
When you click a deal you leave this site. The store (for example Amazon) and any affiliate network may set cookies to credit the referral. Their own privacy policies apply there.
Google and YouTube data
The site owner also runs a small private tool that uses Google sign-in and the YouTube Data API to read and reply to comments on the owner's own YouTube channels. It only accesses those channels, stores comment IDs locally to avoid double replies, and does not share Google user data with anyone. Its use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke its access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
What we don't do
We don't sell personal information and we don't share it with advertisers. We keep newsletter emails until you unsubscribe.
